On Sunday 15th November 2 girls teams competed at the 2020 Volleyball WA High Schools 4-a-side Beach Tournament at City Beach against metro/country/private/public schools from across the state.
Both teams finished top of their pool after qualifying rounds and unfortunately had to play each other in the Yr 11/12 A Grade Female Division Semi Final. The winners went through to win the final.
MRSHS achieved a 1st and 3rd in the Open age group A Grade female division.
Third Place winners:
Rica Bobis, Sophie Dale, Bec Svennson, Liv Kawiti and Summer Hopkins. This Team of Year 11s, 10s and 9 student showed an outstanding effort competing against Year 11s and 12s.
Winning team:
Kate Long, Chelsea Kawiti, Scarlet Caley, Tess Hopkins and Rena Davies.
This group have won both the VWA indoor hard court and beach tournaments in the Open A grade female division in 2020.
I am so happy for this cohort as they have worked very hard for an extended period of time to facilitate this outcome.
