The month of June started with a treat for the Years 10-12 students. The Augusta Margaret River shire’s inaugural RISE expo in the school’s gym gave the 15 to 18 years old students an opportunity to meet local entrepreneurs, educators, shire representatives and business operators. RISE stands for Resilient Innovative Skilled and Employed, an initiative to make the local region attractive for young people to pursue their dream career here. The students were treated to a variety of exhibits and discussed pathways to professional careers. The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. A massive thank you to the Shire for making this opportunity available to our students and our VET team under the leadership of Paola Pastorelli for their school-based organisation.
