Saffron Sgroi and Madeleine Sherlock succeeded in winning again in the finals round to gain a spot in the Western Australia Evatt Trophy political debating GRAND FINAL this Friday! The team beat a number of prestigious Perth schools and Margaret River SHS is now the only country and public high school represented in the state final. Madeleine will be the youngest competitor. Unfortunately, the final cannot be held in Parliament this year due to CoViD-19 restrictions, but the Constitutional Centre of Western Australia is a suitable replacement.
They will represent RUSSIA, one of the permanent UN Security Council members in the Grand Final, a true honour and a statement of confidence in the ability of these two students.
