Over the weekend 12 dedicated volleyballers and two teachers went to Perth to compete in the High Schools cup Beach Volleyball Carnival. These students have been training twice a week from 7am until just before school. You may see some tired faces and weary bodies around school in the morning as the troopers played in tough sunny, windy conditions at City Beach.

Our 9/10 team played strongly in their beach volleyball debut (having had zero experience on sand before 7:30am) they came out with 1 victory and 2 losses (both by one 1 point!) and narrowly missed out on making the finals.

Our two 11/12 teams shone through undefeated in their pools to make it an all Margaret River final taking out 1st and 2nd place in the Year 11/12 A grade division with a nail biting finish.

Although a fantastic feat to take home some medals for the trophy cabinet, I am most proud of the way they conducted themselves both on and off the courts. We really do have the best students around!
