At the end of Term 2, the Year 7 Italian classes were invited to an authentic Italian treat. They walked down to the Pizzica restaurant, where Ivan, the owner, tested their Italian knowledge. Ivan is a Southern Italian pizza Masterchef. He told the students the pizza story, explained where the name Margherita comes from and how to eat pizzas with only three fingers. Ivan also demonstrated the throwing of the pizza dough. The students were very well fed when they returned to school. A very special thank you to Marian Grapes for organising this Italian experience and Ivan and the staff at Pizzica restaurant for their generosity and Language support.
