Poppy steps up
Poppy Stubbs saw the live musical productions of Wicked and King Kong and she was hooked. She has wanted to be a dancer ever since.
The 18-year-old local was thrilled to find she was accepted at the Principal Academy of Dance and Theatre Art. She left for Perth on Monday to begin a diploma majoring in dance.
“It is pretty hard to get in,” she said. “It’s nice to take a step towards [a career].”
Ms Stubbs has been teaching dance to children aged between two to 14 and hopes to continue this, but not before she has hit the stage herself.
