Margaret River Senior High School claim record ninth straight school surfing title
Margaret River Senior High School have claimed an incredible ninth-straight crown in the SunSmart WA School Surfing Titles after dominating the final at Trigg Beach last Friday.
Led by current state under-18 champion and former ISA World Junior surfer Jacob Willcox, Margaret River Senior High School (MRSHS) showed their depth of talent by reaching four out of the eight divisional finals – winning two of those in style.
Accompanying Willcox on the MRSHS team were the talented Bailee Hastie, Jed Mattinson, Mia McCarthy, Annabelle Jones, Finn Haslau, Lewis Becker and Jamaica Selby.
Willcox and Mattinson defeated the Carine Senior High School team of Pascal Hutchinson and Kash Cook in a highly-competitive Senior Boys surfing final.
