Hands on learning for young cadets
Margaret River Senior High School Emergency Service Cadets had a hands-on lesson about radio communication last week.
Members of the Margaret River Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service visited the school and gave a demonstration in operating the cadets’ own 80-channel UFH radios. These radios were supplied after a successful $15,000 Lottery Grant application last year.
The lesson from the Fire and Rescue Service was one of many to be held during the term, as the group aims to support the cadets and inspire them to continue volunteering in their adult life.
