New Spaghetti Bridge Record
For 16th year in a row the 12 Physics class has run its spaghetti bridge completion. A completion aimed at getting students to apply their experimental skills and theoretical knowledge in a real context. The class of 2014 has had extraordinary results with 3 of the top 5 preforming bridges ever made at the school being produced. Hannah Newstead (pictured) set a new school record with her bridge holding 41.3 Kg (160 times its own mass), William Jackson and Kyle Spence also turned out excellent bridges. Hopefully these early signs of engineering excellence indicate that Margaret River Senior High will continue punching above its weight in producing the Engineers that Australia needs in it’s industries.
