Rose’s star rises
Budding actress Rose Bennett took out the Top Drama Student award at Margaret River Senior High School last week and is unlikely to stop there.
The 17-year-old has already appeared in two locally-shot films including Drift, which premiered this year, and the latest, Kill Me Three Times, directed by Kriv Stenders (Red Dog) and set for release next year.
“I’ve had some incredible experiences in the film industry over the past few years and am working towards a full-time acting career,” Ms Bennett told the Mail.
She recently finished her year 12 TEE studies and won the Rising Star award, sponsored by the Margaret River Theatre Group, in recognition of her dedication, passion and local acting performances.
In Drift, Ms Bennett’s role was alongside young heartthrob surfer Xavier Samuels as ‘Surfer girl number one’.
