Woodwork students help community raise funds
Woodwork students at Margaret River Senior High School (MRSHS) recently took on an extra project to help the Margaret River Sea Search and Rescue team raise some much-needed funds.
The year 11 students designed and manufactured donation boxes to be placed in venues around the district.
In pairs, they worked to meet the criteria and displayed some great ideas in design and finishing. One student volunteered to make wooden boats for the top of every team’s boxes.
The final results have pleased MRSHS woodwork co-ordinator Ian Thwaites and he is happy the school could support the community.
