We are excited to announce the continuous success of the 2023 Languages Western Australian Side-by-Side competition, where second language learners from Years 7 and 8 showcased their linguistic skills. The competition, open to students from PP to Year 12, featured all six languages taught at Margaret River Senior High School: Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian and Spanish.

Participants engaged in spontaneous conversations in diverse scenarios, judged on fluency, natural language use, and pronunciation. The winning videos are appended.

Background and first language learners participated in the Let Me Tell You a Story, Let Me Tell You in My Language competition. They produced bilingual books.

Special thanks go to all engaged and motivated Languages students of Margaret River SHS. The winning entries represent the amazing progress achieved by our Languages students.
