On Friday 16th August our Year 12 students headed down to Margaret River TAFE campus where they moved between four different presentations throughout the day about topics relating to health and wellbeing of themselves and others. We had the team from Waratah, the South-West Drug Team, Headspace and the Rural Clinc School of WA present throughout the day. Local Margaret River Police, Volunteer and Career paramedics from St John Ambulance and local Fire-fighters then staged a car accident, showing and explaining the importance of road safety for students themselves, their passengers and other road users. Students we able to witness firsthand the enormous effort and collaboration from the community that is involved when an accident occurs. It was an eye-opening experience for many!!
We were lucky enough to have received donations from many local businesses for prizes throughout the day, a very BIG thankyou to the following businesses for your support:
Yahava KoffeeWorks, Beach Life Surf Shop, Candy Cow , Margaret River Bookshop, Margaret River Fudge Factory, Margaret River Hemp Shop, Mukau Giftware and, Gallery, NewsXpress, Priceline , Re Tyre Shoes Margaret River, Rip Curl Margaret River, Sessions Surf , Seven Seas Tea, Sportspower, Temper Temper, Toast Face Grillah and Two Cracks Coffee.
Thank-you to all members of the community, near and far, who prepared, presented, donated and were involved in an awesome day!!
We wish all our 2022 year 12’s a happy and safe transition to Year 13 over the next few months.
