How to Install NAPLAN Locked Down Browser on Windows

Note: NAPLAN locked down browser requires a minimum version of Windows 10 21H2 or later. You can check your version of Windows by following the instructions here.

Step 1 Download the NAPLAN locked down browser here:

 

Step 2 Locate your file – Nap Locked down browser release NAP 5.11.0 using the file explorer. The file by default will be in your Downloads folder:

Step 3 Double-click NAP Locked down browser – Release – 5.11.0 and the installation wizard will launch.
Work through the installation by choosing Next, Next, Install, Yes (if asked for permission) then Finish as shown in the slideshow below:

 

Step 4 Check for the green NAP 2026 icon on the Desktop.

How to Install NAPLAN Locked Down Browser on MAC computer

Note: NAPLAN locked down browser requires a minimum version of Mac OS 14 or later. You can check your version of Mac OS by following the instructions here.

Step 1 Download the NAPLAN locked down browser here:

 

Step 2 Locate your file in Finder – NAP Locked down browser – Release – 5.10.5.pkg.

Step 3 Double-click the file to launch the installer. Work through the installation by choosing options such as Allow >  Continue > Continue > Agree > Continue > Install > Use Password (if prompted) & OK (if prompted) then Close

Choose Agree
Choose Continue
A prompt requesting your user Touch ID/password to install the software may display. Enter the Password and select Install Software to continue.
Choose OK if this message appears
Choose Close

STEP 4 Confirm the installation by checking the Desktop or the Applications folder for the green NAP Locked down browser 2026 app icon or search for NAP to find and open it.

How to Install NAPLAN Locked Down Browser on iPAD

Note: You must have IOS 17 or later & a separate keypad/keycase- if not you will use one of our devices

Step 1 Connect to the internet – you can download here – or follow the steps below:

Step 2 Go to the App Store

Step 3 Search for NAP locked down browser then tap the GET  button for NAP 2026

Step 4 If asked, sign in with the Apple ID to authorise the installation, then select Install

Step 5 The NAP 2026 icon should now be on your iPAD
